Mother’s Day Wish

I need a week to do nothing but read.  My blog reader is more than 100 deep.  I’m a quarter into Catching Fire – Holy Shit, you MUST read these books!!  I’ve got three non-fictions from the library that I’ve already had to renew but haven’t started reading.  When Women Stop Hating Their Bodies, How Your Child is Smart and Why We Get Fat.  I just started getting the weekend paper.  I have three newly purchased books from Amazon.  It Sucked and Then I Cried, 5 Good Reasons to Punch a Dolphin in The Mouth and Let’s Panic About Babies – all internet books, fun!

Today I dropped the family off at church and headed over to Bed, Bath and Beyond.  I NEVER get to shop there and rarely get to shop anywhere alone.  It was sooooo nice!  I got a steam mop, an iced tea maker (I’ve been making a lot and it’s a pain), a new hamper for the bathroom.  I’m planning a re-organization of the bathroom closet and so am way too excited about this hamper.  A shower head, but not just a shower head, it’s two shower heads, one regular and one removable sprayer which should make bathing the dog about 8 gazillion times easier.  I got a thing that makes disposing of grease much easier, a new soap pump for the kitchen, one that won’t spill when it gets knocked over.  Then there was the little clips that attach the down comforter to the duvet so it stays in place.

I guess I’m off my movie kick now.  I’ve been watching Netflix tv instead.  I already mentioned Veronica Mars, one of the best shows ever.  Then I watched the first two seasons of Glee and now I’m re-watching Saving Grace, another best show ever.  I’ve also got the first disc of Weeds season six waiting for me.  This may explain why I’m not getting any reading done…

About Just Vegas

I'm a 30-something married SAHM which means the nightmare scenario that plagued my early 20's has become reality. Funny thing is, I kinda like it. I have 3 lovely daughters who are educated at home and at a part-time alternative school. I love animals and I love people (in the general sense, not everybody all the time). I have no income to speak of, I'm not crafty and I hate cooking. My skills include reading the internet, watching tv on the internet and conversing with people on the internet. I'm an armchair philosopher, spiritualist, agnostic, feminist, liberal, activist, political pundit and tv critic.

Suzanne Collins is amazing! The Hunger Games series is one of the best series I’ve EVER read! I got sucked into the Twilight to do, but The Hunger Games WAAAYYYY outdo Twilight! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the whole series!
