Catching Up *UPDATED*

I’m sorry that I haven’t been on here much.  I’ve been very depressed and I just don’t feel like talking.  I’m frustrated beyond belief that I can’t find meds that seem to work.  So I’m sort of here just to force myself back out.

I got to attend the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear and it was AMAZING.  We couldn’t hear or see anything but the energy was fantastic and did a bit to restore my faith in humanity.  The bigger news though is that I have a brother.  I’ve always known that I had a brother by my mom somewhere out there but last week he found us on facebook.  It’s been a whirlwind of excitement since then as we get to know each other and our families.  I will be meeting him in person later this month.

So that’s what’s up here, how about you?

**For those of you who are family or friends of the family, this is still being kept somewhat quiet until we can all get used to it.  Please respect my mom’s privacy.

About Just Vegas

I'm a 30-something married SAHM which means the nightmare scenario that plagued my early 20's has become reality. Funny thing is, I kinda like it. I have 3 lovely daughters who are educated at home and at a part-time alternative school. I love animals and I love people (in the general sense, not everybody all the time). I have no income to speak of, I'm not crafty and I hate cooking. My skills include reading the internet, watching tv on the internet and conversing with people on the internet. I'm an armchair philosopher, spiritualist, agnostic, feminist, liberal, activist, political pundit and tv critic.

life is full of surprises. A person I never thought I would ever see found me ( us ). What a mighty God we serve, He blesses me beyond what I can ever imagine.

I LOVE seeing a picture of you! You are so pretty!

Your brother found you! That’s wonderful!

  3. Swistle says:

Gosh, I sound a little PERKY, considering you just mentioned depression and frustration.

You must be very excited to meet your brother. That is so cool that he found you. A friend of mine had a similar experience and met a half-sister that they didn’t know they had until after their mom passed away. I remember her excitement and so I can imagine yours. I really happy for you!

The rally sounds like fun, too. Love the photo!

I’m glad you posted. Sorry it’s been such a struggle to find the right medication. Does EMDR relieve depression? Or, does it do ither things for you? I’m thinking of you. Hang in there.

That’s great news, about your brother! I saw on Facebook that something good was happening, and I was curious to know what it was…I hope the meet goes well, and that you’re able to begin a new relationship.
