Moments you don’t want to experience again.

The moment you see the blue and red lights in your rearview mirror
The moment you realize the guy in your house isn’t, in fact, someone you know
The moment you realize your child is having a seizure
The moment they tell you they’ve found something on the MRI
The moment the cop puts his hand on your head to duck you into the back of his car
The moment he says it’s over
The moment you realize that maybe you can’t stop at one drink

Moments you could live over and over
The moment the baby is placed on your chest
The moment you realize he’s about to propose
The moment the judge dismisses your case
The moment they tell you that you are being released, that someone posted your bail
The moment you realize that you are stronger than your demons

About Just Vegas

I'm a 30-something married SAHM which means the nightmare scenario that plagued my early 20's has become reality. Funny thing is, I kinda like it. I have 3 lovely daughters who are educated at home and at a part-time alternative school. I love animals and I love people (in the general sense, not everybody all the time). I have no income to speak of, I'm not crafty and I hate cooking. My skills include reading the internet, watching tv on the internet and conversing with people on the internet. I'm an armchair philosopher, spiritualist, agnostic, feminist, liberal, activist, political pundit and tv critic.

Funny that you dwell on the past moments both negative and positive, when each present day is filled with such wonderful moments as well. God gave us a wonderland here on Earth that we should enjoy every day. I know I do!

I think that it’s good to take an occasional look at your own history. This post reminded me to follow the speed limit and it reminded me of some of the wonderful things I’ve experienced as well as some of the things I’ve survived. It feels good.

Sorry the moment before he proposed was filled with yelling and the moment after with death. I’ve never been great with timing:)
