Home Again

Sunburned and sore and smelling like campfire!  We had a blast and can’t wait until next year.  We’ve got the kids de-grimed and we’re almost there ourselves.

How was your holiday weekend?

About Just Vegas

I'm a 30-something married SAHM which means the nightmare scenario that plagued my early 20's has become reality. Funny thing is, I kinda like it. I have 3 lovely daughters who are educated at home and at a part-time alternative school. I love animals and I love people (in the general sense, not everybody all the time). I have no income to speak of, I'm not crafty and I hate cooking. My skills include reading the internet, watching tv on the internet and conversing with people on the internet. I'm an armchair philosopher, spiritualist, agnostic, feminist, liberal, activist, political pundit and tv critic.

We did the same. Don’t you just love the smell of the campfire? I brought along those little pine cones that turn the flames from yellow to blue and green. The kids loved them! The weather was great, It rained Friday night, but the following days and nights were just wonderful. And no bugs!!! My husband planned and cooked all the meals and I was treated to one gourmet meal after the other! The baby was fine, he even took his naps. My daughter (12) met some other angry teenage girls and had a great time, although she would never admit it! We went with 4 other couples, but just us and another had tents, so we were stuck in the camper section. My husband and I never have to leave the tent at night to void, thanks to a portable system that he has!
We try to go at least 4~5 times each year. Why not come east and come camping with us?

My youngest is only two so we don’t go very often yet but I love camping! We had at least 50 people camping at this event this year. It got down into the low 40s at night so we froze our tails off but that’s part of the charm I think. There were the very young up to the relatively old and everyone works together to make it great!

I’m so glad you guys had a good time! We went to Jamestown to Shawnee Lake on Saturday, with my Mom & Dad and my dad’s brothers and their families, and today we went to Celina to visit with my birth family. We had a great weekend. Back to the grind tomorrow =0(

Sounds nice! Jt took tomorrow off so we have a little time to recover but I still have to babysit and get Kenai to school. Julie is here until Wednesday so we will go up to Dayton after school tomorrow to see her and Luke before they have to go.
